Rice is something that’s made in a little extra quantity and usually gets packed in a container to be reheated the next day. To give your leftover rice a makeover, make a crispy chilla with this recipe.
1 cup cooked rice 2 tbsp besan 1 tbsp sooji Water as required 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 green chilli 1/2 inch grated Ginger 2 tbsp coriander Leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp cumin Powder Salt to taste Oil for cooking
Blend cooked rice, besan, sooji, and some water till you get a consistent batter.
Add in chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves, and all the spices.
Heat a tawa, pour a ladleful of batter, spread it into a circle, and cook on both sides.
Once crispy, serve with dahi and chutney.
