Got Leftover Rice? Make Crispy Chilla In 4 Easy Steps

The rajma or curry is finished, but the extra rice in your cooker is still sitting? Don’t worry, you can put your leftover rice to good use. With this 4-step recipe, make rice chilla and enjoy a healthy snack.

Ingredients

1 cup cooked rice 2 tbsp besan 1 tbsp sooji Water as required 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 green chilli 1/2 inch grated Ginger 2 tbsp coriander Leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp cumin Powder Salt to taste Oil for cooking

Step 1

Blend cooked rice, besan, sooji, and some water till you get a consistent batter.

Step 2

Add in chopped onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander leaves, and all the spices.

Step 3

Heat a tawa, pour a ladleful of batter, spread it into a circle, and cook on both sides.

Step 4

Once crispy, serve the rice chilla with dahi and chutney.
