If you have leftover idli-dosa batter in the refrigerator, and you no longer want to make the staples, you can still use it to craft lip-smacking meals. Instead of throwing it away, use it to prepare delicacies that require minimum prep time.
Cut a few vegetables, pour this batter into a hot pan, and top with the veggies. Your breakfast will be ready in no time, and it will be gut-friendly.
Leftover idli-dosa batter can also be used to prepare paniyaram. Depending on how you like them, they can be stuffed with veggies too.
In Andhra Pradesh, people use the batter to make crispy fritters by dipping vegetables in it and deep-frying them in hot oil.
As the name suggests, dip marinated fish or fillets into the batter and deep-fry them to serve a crispy snack with chutney on the side.
If the batter is thick enough, you can make vada with it. To thicken it, you can add rava or besan and serve the vadas with sambar.
