Opting for a gluten-free diet does not mean you have to give up crunchy snacks. From makhana and sweet potato to besan-based tidbits, there are plenty of options that are naturally gluten-free and offer variety to make everyday snacking more appealing.
Dry-roast makhana until they turn crisp, then toss with some roasted cumin, black pepper and chaat masala. Lastly, squeeze in a lemon for a tangy taste in every bite.
Make a thick besan batter and add finely chopped onions and tomatoes to it light spices. Cook small chillas until they turn golden, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Roast or air-fry the sweet potato cubes until they turn a bit crisp. Toss them with a pinch of cumin powder, black salt, lemon, and fresh chopped coriander.
Dry-roast some thin poha with peanuts, curry leaves, and light spices until they turn crisp. Let it cool down thoroughly before you store it so that the mixture remains crunchy.
Mash some boiled sweet corn and paneer with a potato, chopped coriander and light spices. Shape them into small tikkis and let them pan-fry.
