Oats idli is a traditional South Indian, nutritious, and healthy variation of steamed idli, which replaces rice with oats. It is a perfect choice for individuals seeking a healthy and fibre-rich diet. Click to check out this recipe.
1 cup powdered oats ½ cup semolina 1 cup yoghurt ½ cup grated carrot 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves 1 finely chopped green chilli 1 tsp eno fruit salt Water as required Salt to taste 1 tsp oil for greasing
Dry roast oats, grind to powder, mix with semolina, curd, carrot, coriander, chilli, salt and add water to make a smooth batter.
Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Mix in the eno before steaming.
Grease the idli moulds, pour batter and steam for 12-15 minutes.
Serve warm with chutney and sambar.
