Ghee Karam Dosa For A Flavourful South Indian Breakfast

Dosa is a popular food throughout India and is loved globally too. Ghee karam dosa is a traditional dish from Andhra Pradesh which uses ghee to cook the dosa along with a delicious spice blend known as Karam. The dosa is usually served with sambar and coconut chutney but you can enjoy it with any condiment you prefer.

Ingredients

1 cup dosa rice 1/4 cup urad dal 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds Salt Ghee 4 onions, chopped 2 tsp red chilli powder 2 tsp cumin seeds Tamarind pulp (optional) Mustard seeds

Step 1

Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds, then grind into batter with salt and ferment.

Step 2

Sauté onions, spices, and optional tamarind pulp until golden and fragrant.

Step 3

Heat ghee on a griddle. Spread dosa batter, and add onion mixture on top.

Step 4

Cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides.

Step 5

Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
