A clever Indian snack that transforms ordinary vegetables into spicy, crunchy kebabs with a dash of garlic is always up for grabs. Mashed potatoes are combined and sautéed in a garlic paste to form a dough that is then pan-fried. These kebabs are a healthy, waste-free bite of joy, subtly spiced with traditional garam masala. With only 20 minutes of preparation, the recipe is super easy.
4 boiled potatoes 5 pieces of bread 2-3 finely chopped green chilli Finely chopped coriander Finely chopped mint 1 finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped ginger 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 3 tablespoons of garlic paste 2 pinches crushed coriander seeds 2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder ½ a teaspoon lime juice 4 tablespoons arrowroot powder 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour Salt to taste Water as needed Oil for cooking
Add the bread, onion, green chilli, coriander, mint, and ginger together.
Then, after mixing the masalas, add the potatoes. Mash and mix well.
Add the garlic paste, turmeric, crushed coriander seeds, garam masala, cumin, salt, lime juice, and chilli flakes.
Add arrowroot and all-purpose flour, and water as needed. Form into a dough.
Form the mixture into kebab patties.
Heat oil in a pan. Set the heat to medium. Shallow fry the kebabs on both sides.
Serve lasuni kebabs with chutney.
