Gado gado salad is a vibrant Indonesian classic where steamed vegetables meet creamy peanut sauce. It’s hearty yet fresh, comforting yet exciting, making it perfect when you want a filling salad with serious flavour depth.
1 cup boiled mixed vegetables ½ cup cubed boiled potatoes 2 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts 2 tbsp peanut sauce 1 boiled egg, halved
Steam or boil the vegetables until tender but still slightly firm to retain freshness.
Boil the potatoes separately, let them cool a bit, then cut them into even-sized cubes.
Arrange the vegetables and potatoes neatly on a serving plate or bowl.
Spoon the peanut sauce generously over everything so each bite is coated.
Finish with boiled egg halves and crushed peanuts for texture and richness.
