Fortify your body against seasonal dampness and airborne infections with a potent glass of homemade amla juice during the monsoon season. Renowned in traditional wellness for its unmatched concentration of natural vitamin C, Indian gooseberry works synergistically to dramatically enhance iron absorption from your diet, combat oxidative stress, and stimulate digestion. The inclusion of fresh crushed ginger and mineral-rich black salt cuts through the natural astringent tartness, transforming pure amla into a revitalising daily tonic.
4 fresh amlas (Indian gooseberries), chopped and deseeded 1 inch piece fresh ginger 1.5 cups water 1/2 teaspoon black salt 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Place the chopped amla pieces, fresh ginger, and half a cup of water into a high speed blender.
Blend until completely smooth, then strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a jug, pressing to extract all juice.
Stir in the remaining water, black salt, lemon juice, and honey until dissolved.
Pour into a glass and drink immediately on an empty stomach for maximum nutrient absorption.
