Organising a party is a hectic task, especially designing a menu that would appeal to everyone’s taste buds. This French clafoutis by Bharti Patni is a must-try for every home baker to take their skills up a notch.
250 grams of cherries 1 cup all-purpose flour 3.75 tsp powdered sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup milk 2 tbsp butter 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Wash the cherries thoroughly and pat them dry with a cloth. Remove the stems and seeds from the cherries using a straw.
Mix the powdered sugar with the cherries and set them aside. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
Gradually add milk to the dry ingredients to form a smooth batter. Add vanilla essence also, and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it. Arrange the cherry mixture on the baking dish and pour the batter over it.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on it, and garnish with some cherries. Serve the clafoutis warm or cold.
