The monsoon season’s humidity can make your favourite snacks and meals turn soggy and ruin their crispness and texture. To ensure that it doesn’t happen, here are some storage tips.

Store Tight

Ditch the polythene and invest in quality air-tight containers. Store your snacks tightly in the jars to keep them moisture-free.

Silica Gel

Silica gel packets can absorb moisture from the air. While storing dry food, you can use safe packets to maintain the crunch.

Cool Before Storing

Let hot food cool down completely before storing it, as it would prevent condensation, which can turn food soggy.

Paper Towels

Wrap fruits and vegetables in paper towels to help absorb excess moisture and prevent spoilage.

Refrigerate

For leftovers or foods with low shelf life, don’t forget to keep the moisture away by refrigerating.
