Breakfast often becomes a race against time, but some meals work harder than others. This fibre-rich oats rava dosa combines oats and semolina to create a crispy breakfast that keeps you satisfied longer while adding extra nutrition to your mornings.
1 cup oats ½ cup rava (semolina) ¼ cup rice flour ½ cup curd 2½ cups water 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 green chilli, chopped 1 tbsp coriander leaves 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp crushed black pepper 8 curry leaves, chopped Salt to taste 1 tbsp oil
In a pan, dry roast the oats for a minute or two and grind them to make a coarse powder out of it.
In a bowl, now mix prepared oats powder, rava, rice flour, curd, water, and salt to taste. Let the batter rest for about 15 to 20 minutes so that the flavours settle.
Now, add chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, curry leaves, cumin, and pepper to this paste. Mix it well so that every ingredient gets distributed evenly.
Heat the dosa pan and lightly grease it with ghee or oil. Pour the prepared batter and spread it evenly in a circular motion like a dosa.
Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges and cook until the bottom turns golden and crisp. Flip it and then cook it again from the other side.
Serve it instantly with coconut chutney or tomato chutney and enjoy.
