Diwali is a time to put your A-game when it comes to serving traditional dishes and beverages. To serve something quick and traditional, you can make the all-time favourite jaljeera in just 4 easy steps.
8 cups of water 1/2 cup mint leaves 1/2 cup coriander leaves 2 tablespoons cumin 1 tablespoon imli chutney 5 tablespoons lemon juice 4 tablespoons sugar syrup 1 teaspoon black salt Ice cubes
Heat 1/4 cup of water and add the tangy imli chutney to it.
Blend the mint leaves, coriander leaves, imli water, cumin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup.
Add some water and blend till smooth. Sieve and mix chilled water.
Add black salt and additional lemon juice to taste. Add ice cubes and serve the jaljeera.
