Sheer khurma with dates leans on natural sweetness, letting the milk and seviyan absorb that depth. Each spoon feels creamy, slightly dense, and finished with a gentle hint of cardamom.
1 litre of milk ½ cup vermicelli 10-12 chopped dates 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp ghee 10 sliced almonds 10 sliced pistachios ½ tsp cardamom powder A few saffron strands
Heat ghee on induction and roast vermicelli until golden and aromatic.
Add milk and let it simmer gently while stirring to avoid sticking.
Mix in dates, sugar, saffron, and cook until slightly thick and creamy.
Add nuts and cardamom powder, and simmer for a few more minutes.
Serve the sheer khurma, warm or chilled.
