For vegans and vegetarians, preparing baked goods without eggs is a task, but it is not impossible. This chocolate cake recipe is for everyone who wishes to indulge in decadence while keeping up with their preferred diet.
400g granulated sugar 330g flour 1.5 cups milk ½ cup butter 2 tsp baking powder, coffee powder ¾ cup cocoa powder ¾ cup yoghurt ½ tsp salt ⅔ cup vegetable oil ½ cup unsalted butter 1.25 tbsp vanilla essence ½ tsp baking soda
Preheat the oven to 150°C while you mix baking powder, salt, and flour.
Combine the yoghurt, baking soda, vanilla essence, and sugar.
Mix wet and dry ingredients into a smooth paste. Add oil, instant coffee powder, butter, and milk.
When you have a velvety smooth blend, pour it into a greased pan.
Bake the chocolate cake for 45 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
Decorate the chocolate cake with your favourite frosting and enjoy the cake.
