Egg shakshuka is a breakfast for fitness buffs and hustlers. It’s vibrant, not boring like an omelette, and loaded with protein. Prepared in under 15-20 minutes, it can be enjoyed with paratha or bread accompanied by fresh juice on the side. Read on to note the recipe!
2 garlic cloves 3 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp coriander, paprika 2 capsicums 1 onion Salt, pepper to taste 4 eggs ½ cup coriander, mint leaves 2 chopped tomatoes ½ tsp cumin, chilli flakes 1 tbsp tomato sauce
Heat oil in a pan and sprinkle cumin seeds. Once seeds start crackling, add garlic.
When garlic turns aromatic, add onions and cook until they are translucent.
Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and other spices.
Cook the ingredients with the lid on until the oil starts floating on the surface.
Add capsicum and cook for 3-4 minutes. Spread the base in the pan and make four holes.
Drop the eggs and cook with a lid on. After 3-4 minutes, garnish with chopped coriander and mint leaves before serving.
