A simple egg sandwich is one of the quickest and most satisfying breakfasts you can make when mornings feel rushed. With everyday ingredients such as eggs, bread, and butter, this sandwich is filling, rich in protein, and can be prepared in minutes.
2 slices of bread 1 large egg 1 tablespoon butter 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 1 pinch salt 1 pinch black pepper 2–3 onion slices (optional) 1–2 tomato slices (optional)
Boil eggs for about 8 to 10 minutes until firm. Let it cool slightly, peel the shell, and slice the egg. If you already have boiled eggs in your fridge, simply peel and slice them.
Take 2 bread slices and toast them lightly in a pan with a little butter until they turn golden and crisp.
Spread the mayonnaise evenly on one slice of toasted bread. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper for some extra taste. You can also sprinkle some oregano, if you have some.
Arrange the sliced boiled egg over the mayonnaise-layered bread. Add onion and tomato slices to make the sandwich more appealing.
Place the second slice of toasted bread on top of this and gently press so that the filling remains in place.
Cut the egg sandwich diagonally and serve it warm with ketchup.
