Easy Mango Shrikhand Recipe To Celebrate With This Summer

Mango shrikhand is a delicious Indian dessert that is enjoyed in the months of summer. The dessert is served chilled and combines yoghurt and mangoes. It can be enjoyed on its own or can be paired with crispy puris. Here’s the recipe follows: 

Ingredients

2 cups of plain yogurt 1 cup of ripe mango pulp 1/2 cup of powdered sugar A pinch of saffron strands (optional) 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder Chopped nuts for garnishing (optional) 

Step 1

Hang the yoghurt in a muslin cloth for about 2-3 hours to drain excess water and thicken it. Once thickened, transfer it to the bowls. 

Step 2

Add mango pulp, powdered sugar, saffron strands and cardamom powder to the thickened yoghurt. Mix all the ingredients well until smooth and creamy. 

Step 3

Once the desired consistency and taste are achieved, chill the shrikhand in the refrigerator for at least an hour. 

Step 4

Before serving, garnish the mango shrikhand with chopped nuts for an added crunch and visual appeal.
