Since the summer season has arrived in full flow, it is time to experiment with different iced beverages for a refreshing escape. This iced caramel latte is the perfect combination of elegance and ease since it comes together so quickly while having a heavenly taste and texture. Here's a recipe for you to try:
1 shot of espresso (or strong-brewed coffee) 1 cup of milk (dairy or non-dairy of your choice) Ice cubes Caramel syrup or sauce Whipped cream (optional) Caramel drizzle (optional)
Brew espresso with a smooth flavour and let it cool to room temperature to avoid melting the ice quickly.
Use a tall glass and fill it to the brim with ice cubes, ensuring there's enough space for the espresso and milk.
Pour the cooled espresso slowly over the ice cubes, allowing it to chill further and mingle with the coldness of the ice.
Froth or steam milk until it becomes creamy, airy, and slightly thick, enhancing the texture and richness of the latte.
Gently pour the frothed or steamed milk over the espresso and ice, creating a beautiful layered effect in the glass.
Drizzle caramel syrup or sauce generously over the top of the milk, adding a sweet and caramelised flavour to the latte.
