A smooth and creamy made with avocados, guacamole is traditionally a Mexican accompaniment to dishes like tacos and enchiladas. Enhanced further with the use of onions, tomatoes, coriander and lime juice, the chunky spread is also perfect to enjoy with toast, chips or even slathered into sandwiches.

Ingredients

2 ripe avocados 1 small tomato, finely chopped 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 green chilli, finely chopped ½ teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped coriander

Step 1

Put the avocados in a bowl and lightly mash them.

Step 2

Add the chopped tomato, onion, green chilli, and coriander.

Step 3

Add the lemon juice to make it taste fresh.

Step 4

Gently stir so that the dip stays a little chunky.

Step 5

Add salt, let it sit for a few minutes, and then serve it fresh.
