Jowar bread is a wonderful, gluten-free bread that is packed with flavour. It’s easy to make and tastes wonderful too. This bread can help keep your diet goals in check!
250g jowar flour 200ml fresh curd 150ml milk ½ tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp oil 2 tsp fruit salt 1 tbsp milk 1 tsp of oats
Take all of the ingredients to room temperature. Place the curd in a mixing bowl. Add the milk and mix thoroughly.
Add the salt and sugar, and stir thoroughly to dissolve the sugar. Add in oil and mix.
Add the jowar flour and combine. Preheat a big vessel with a lid for 10 minutes on slow gas.
Grease and line a loaf tin with baking parchment. Now, add the fruit salt and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of milk to activate it.
Mix carefully to evenly distribute the salt in the batter. Pour the active batter into the ready loaf tin.
Tap the tin a little. Sprinkle oats on top. Place the loaf tin carefully in the hot pot. Cover and bake for 40 mins.
Remove from heat. Cover slightly and let it cool. Remove from the tin. Cut the loaf into bread slices.
