Aate ka halwa is a traditional Punjabi dessert which is known for its simplicity and satisfying taste. With basic ingredients, here’s how to prepare the dessert, which is a staple in most North Indian households.
1 cup aata 1/2 cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/2 cup water Chopped nuts for garnish
Heat some ghee and add aata. Roast till golden brown and fragrant.
Add sugar and stir well. Gradually mix water and mix till it thickens.
Once the water is absorbed, add the cardamom powder. Turn off the heat.
Garnish with shopped nuts and serve hot.
