The South Indian staple rasam is a comfort food option across the country. To avoid any preservatives or adulterated spice mix, hereâs you can make homemade rasam podi, that too, in just three steps.
1 cup coriander seeds 2 tablespoons cumin seeds 1/4 cup black peppercorns 15 dry red chillies 1/3 cup toor dal 2 tablespoons chana dal 1 turmeric stick 2 sprigs of curry leaves
Mix all the ingredients. Heat a pan and dry roast the mixture till fragrant.
Let the roasted mixture cool down. Grind to make a smooth powder.
Store in an air-tight container till the next time you want to make rasam.
