No Easter meal can feel complete without having a bite of chocolate fudge cake. Chocolaty and soft from within, it instantly gives a festive touch. This chocolate cake is easy to make and share with your loved ones, which will let you win all the praise.
1½ cups all-purpose flour 1 cup sugar ½ cup cocoa powder 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt ¾ cup milk ½ cup oil or melted butter 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ cup hot water or coffee 1 cup dark chocolate (chopped) ½ cup fresh cream
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt to make a dry mix to make the base.
Now, add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and whisk everything to make a smooth, lump-free and glossy batter.
To this, pour in hot water or coffee and mix everything nicely to loosen the batter and give it a soft, moist, and fudgy texture.
Transfer the prepared mixture to the greased baking tin and bake at 180°C for at least 30 to 35 minutes. Check by inserting the toothpick; if it comes out clean, it is baked.
Now, heat the cream and pour it over the chopped dark chocolate. Mix to make a smooth, glossy fudge that you will use as a topping.
Spread the prepared fudge over the cake and let it settle. Once you see the topping has settled nicely, slice and serve the chocolate fudge cake for the easter treat.
