The masala chai espresso martini is the ultimate fusion cocktail for late-night Diwali 2026 gatherings, merging British-Indian cafe culture with cocktail craft. Infusing vodka with aromatic Indian spices alongside a rich shot of espresso creates a velvety, invigorating drink crowned with a frothy crema and whole cardamom pods.
50ml vodka infused with masala chai spices (or standard vodka) 25ml coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa) 1 fresh shot of espresso (about 30ml), cooled slightly 15ml spiced jaggery syrup or simple syrup Ice cubes Whole cardamom pods or coffee beans for garnish
Chill a martini or coupe glass in the refrigerator while preparing the other ingredients.
Pour the masala chai-infused vodka, coffee liqueur, freshly brewed espresso, and spiced jaggery syrup into a cocktail shaker filled densely with ice cubes.
Shake hard and fast for twenty to twenty-five seconds to aerate the espresso and create a thick, luxurious foam layer.
Double-strain the liquid directly into the chilled glass, top with three coffee beans or a bruised cardamom pod, and serve instantly.
