Diwali hosting calls for snacks that are easy to make, simple to serve and also crispy enough to tempt guests to ask for second servings. This Diwali party, try these five air fryer snack ideas that use little to no added oil and help you assemble a mixed snack platter without having to deep-fry anything.
Makhana turns crisp in minutes in an air fryer. Afterwards, you can simply season it with some chaat masala, chilli, cumin and salt. This light, crunchy snack is perfect for making in advance and for healthy munching.
Mini aloo tikkis add the familiar taste of spiced potatoes that have crisp edges with soft centres. They cook quickly in an air fryer and pair well with mint or imli chutney.
Marinate paneer cubes in curd and basic spices, then air-fry to give them lightly browned edges. They make a flavourful, protein-rich party snack that everybody loves.
These pakora-inspired bites mix besan with onion, capsicum and ajwain for a savoury, spiced crunch in every bite. They offer a familiar festive taste with very little oil and minimal preparation.
Sweet potato wedges get golden edges while maintaining a soft centre. Season them with some chaat masala to add a tangy kick. They're a colourful, healthy alternative to regular aloo fries and are best served hot.
