A festive Rajasthani sweet, mawa kachori is a deep-fried pastry filled with sweetened khoya and dry fruits, dipped in sugar syrup. Crispy outside and rich inside, it’s perfect for celebrations!
1 cup maida 2 tbsp ghee 1 cup mawa ¼ cup powdered sugar 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits ½ tsp cardamom powder 1 cup sugar + ½ cup water Ghee or oil for frying
Make soft dough with maida, ghee, water and let it rest 30 mins.
Roast mawa lightly, mix sugar, dry fruits, cardamom and let it cool.
Roll dough balls, fill with mawa mixture and seal.
Fry kachoris on low heat till they turn golden and crisp.
Dip in warm sugar syrup for 2 mins and serve.
