Diwali 2025 is just around the corner, and this is your sign to get started with the festive cooking. To serve the guests or pack some goodness in hampers, you must make Gujarati nankhatai with this easy recipe.
1.25 cup maida 2 tablespoons sooji ½ cup sugar ½ cup ghee ¼ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 2 teaspoons chopped nuts A few rose petals for garnishing
Mix maida and sooji together. Set aside.
Mix powdered sugar and ghee. Add cardamom powder and flour, and knead a smooth dough.
Take small portions, roll them into balls and gently press them down with a fork.
Top with chopped nuts and rose petals. Bake for about 15 minutes and serve.
