Barfi is a popular type of Indian sweet. Every Indian, no matter what the occasion is, loves having one bite of the barfi. Badam barfis are more in demand this Diwali. Check this badam barfi recipe out to make at home!

Ingredients

1¾ cups almonds ¾ cups of sugar 5 cardamoms Elaichi powder 3-4 tablespoons of ghee ½ cup of hot water ½ cup of regular water 1 teaspoon of rose water A few saffron strands

Step 1

Soak almonds in hot water. For about half an hour.

Step 2

Remove almond skin. Set almonds aside.

Step 3

Grind almonds into powder form.

Step 4

Boil sugar for syrup. Let it turn thick. Mix almond and elachi powder, sugar syrup first.

Step 5

Put in warm milk, saffron stems, and cardamom. Mix until it lifts off the pan.

Step 6

Allow batter to cool. Knead the batter with ghee.

Step 7

Cut the dough into preferred barfi shapes. Garnish with edible silver. Serve on a plate.
