Indo-Chinese food became popular quite late in India, but children and adults have been gushing over chowmein for decades. It was and still is a crucial part of the street food scenes. Check out how to make dhaba-style chowmein at home.
300 grams of cooked noodles 1.5 tbsp ginger 2.5 tbsp oil 4-5 garlic cloves 1 cup chopped veggies 2.5 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp tomato ketchup 1 tbsp white vinegar 1 tsp red, green chilli sauce Black pepper to taste Chopped green onion Salt to taste 1 tsp sugar
Heat oil in a wok exposed to high heat. Saute ginger, garlic, and vegetables in it.
Once vegetables are semi-cooked, add sauces.
Add cooked noodles into the wok and toss vigorously.
Add soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Toss the ingredients again.
Turn off the flame after 2-3 minutes and plate the chowmein.
Garnish the chowmein with green onions and enjoy.
