Made with desi ghee, moong dal barfi is a traditional Indian dessert that melts as soon as you put it on your tongue. To satisfy your sweet tooth, here’s a 5-step recipe to make moong dal barfi.
1 cup moong dal (roasted) 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup ghee 1/4 cup milk A pinch of cardamom powder Chopped dry fruits for garnishing
Roast moong dal till it is aromatic. Set aside.
Mix sugar and milk on low heat till the sugar dissolves and the milk thickens.
Pour the milk over the roasted dal and mix well. Add ghee and cardamom powder.
Cook until the mixture becomes thick and leaves the sides of the pan.
Pour the mixture into a greased plate. Garnish with dry fruits, slice, and serve.
