From the streets of Delhi, soya chaap is one of the most beloved snacks. Rich in protein, the soya chunks are given a spicy twist, thus making it a guilt-free finger-licking option. Here’s how to make it at home.
9-10 pieces soya chaap 1 onion 1 tablespoon oil ½ cup curd 3 tablespoons red chilli powder 1 teaspoon kasoori methi 1 teaspoon black salt ½ teaspoon cumin powder ½ teaspoon chaat masala ½ teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon pudina powder ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste For Garnishing: Chopped coriander leaves Lemon juice
Make the marinade by mixing curd with all the collected spices.
Add soya chaap pieces and coat them in the mixture. Let them absorb the flavour by setting them aside for about an hour.
Skewer the pieces with chopped onion and cook them in a tandoor or an oven.
When the soya chaap is fully cooked, you can arrange them on a plate.
Garnish with lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves, and serve with a chutney.
