Delhi Street-Style Ram Ladoo Recipe You Must Try For Snacking

When you hear the word ‘ladoo’, you imagine the sweet. But Delhi’s ram ladoos are the savoury fritters are the popular street snack. Paired with grated mooli and chutney, here’s how to make ram ladoos.

Ingredients

½ cup moong dal ½ cup chana dal 1-2 green chillies 1 tsp grated ginger Salt to taste ½ tsp cumin seeds A pinch of hing Oil for deep frying Grated radish for garnish Coriander leaves for garnish Chaat masala as required Lemon juice as required Green and tamarind chutney for serving

Step 1

Soak moong and chana dal for 3-4 hours.

Step 2

Drain and grind into a coarse paste with chillies, ginger, salt, cumin, and hing.

Step 3

Whisk the batter to make it airy. Heat some oil and deep-fry small balls till golden.

Step 4

Drain excess oil on paper towels and put a few ram ladoos in a bowl.

Step 5

Top with grated radish, chutneys, coriander, chaat masala, and a squeeze of lemon and serve.
