Dal Toast: Crunchy, Protein Rich Recipe For Guilt-Free Snacking

Do you crave a crunchy snack to pair with your evening tea or coffee? Instead of relying on store-bought packs, make a protein-rich dal toast that’s crunchy, healthy, and easy to make.

Ingredients

1 cup moong dal 6-8 slices of bread 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped capsicum 2 tablespoons coriander leaves 1 green chilli 1 inch of ginger 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Oil for cooking

Step 1

Rinse and soak moong dal. Drain extra water and grind till you get a smooth paste.

Step 2

Mix chopped onion, capsicum, coriander, green chilli, and grated ginger.

Step 3

Add the veggies to the ground moong dal. Mix in all the spices till well combined.

Step 4

Take a bread slice, spread the mixture and toast it on a tawa or a sandwich maker.

Step 5

Sprinkle some oil and grill the bread. Serve with ketchup or chutney.
