Dal dosa is a crispy, golden South Indian dish made from a mix of lentils and rice. It’s wholesome, light, and protein-packed, a perfect breakfast or dinner with chutney or sambar.
½ cup toor dal ½ cup moong dal ¼ cup urad dal ¼ cup chana dal ½ cup rice 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste Oil for cooking
Wash and soak all dals and rice together for 4-5 hours, then drain the water.
Grind the soaked mixture into a smooth, slightly thick batter using little water.
Let the batter rest for 30-40 minutes, then add salt and cumin seeds.
Heat a tawa, pour a ladle of batter, and spread it evenly in a circular motion.
Drizzle oil around the edges, cook till crisp and golden, and serve hot with chutney or sambar.
