Even though vada paired with sambar or chutney is a classic snack, to add a refreshing touch for the summer, dahi vada becomes a go-to option. Made with moong dal, follow this recipe to make dahi vada.
1 cup moong dal 1-2 green chillies 1 inch of ginger A pinch of hing Salt to taste Oil for cooking 2 cups curd 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon black salt For Garnishing: Imli chutney Green chutney Red chilli powder Chopped coriander leaves
Soak moong dal and grind it into a smooth paste. Add green chillies, ginger, hing, and salt.
Deep fry small portions of the batter and drain excess oil.
Soak the fried vadas and squeeze the extra water.
Whisk curd and mix in roasted cumin powder, black salt, and salt. Add in the dal vadas.
Top with imli, green chutney, chilli powder, and chopped coriander leaves before serving.
