You must have relished rava appe, but dal appe is a protein-loaded twist added to the recipe. Lentils are healthy and can be used to turn any dish into a powerhouse of nutrition. Check out the recipe for moong dal appe.
½-inch ginger 1 cup yellow moong dal Salt to taste ¼ tsp turmeric 1 green chilli Water 2-3 tbsp capsicum, tomato, onion ½ cup paneer 1 tbsp coriander leaves 1 tsp chilli flakes Oil as needed 1 tsp black mustard seeds
Grind soaked moong dal and transfer it into a bowl. Whisk it to add air to the blend.
Toss veggies and powdered spices in the batter and keep it aside.
Temper the blend with mustard seeds and chilli flakes.
Grease appe moulds with ghee or oil.
Add a spoonful of the batter into the moulds.
Cook both sides and serve.
