Dahi Bhalla: Try This Punjabi Recipe For The Perfect Snack

Dahi bhalla is a refreshing and healthy snack. The bhallas made with urad dal are served in a serving of dahi with a sweet hint. Add a spicy green chutney and imli chutney to the snack and serve.

Ingredients

1 cup urad dal 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds Pinch of salt Oil for frying 2 cups dahi 4 cups water 1 tablespoon green chutney 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds Chopped cilantro for garnish

Step 1

Soak urad dal and blend it with cumin seeds, ginger paste, and salt.

Step 2

Deep fry small portions of the batter to make the bhallas and soak them in water.

Step 3

Mix dahi and water together and add the soaked bhallas, removing the extra water.

Step 4

Add the green and tamarind chutney with the spices and mix all the contents.

Step 5

Garnish with pomegranate seeds and cilantro, and your Punjabi snack will be ready.
