Curry leaves podi is often used in a typical South Indian household for most dishes. So, why donât you make a healthy and preservative-free spice mix at home? Hereâs an easy recipe you can follow.
1 teaspoon oil 1 tablespoon channa dal 1 tablespoon urad dal 1 tablespoon dhaniya 1 teaspoon jeera 1 teaspoon black pepper 5 dry red chillies 1 cup curry leaves 1 tamarind Salt to taste
To make the podi, add in oil and roast curry leaves on slow flame till aromatic.
Add the rest of the ingredients and cook till curry leaves are a little crispy.
Grind the mixture into a fine powder.
Store it in an airtight container and use it whenever required.
