Curry Leaves Podi: Authentic South Indian Recipe

Curry leaves podi is often used in a typical South Indian household for most dishes. So, why don’t you make a healthy and preservative-free spice mix at home? Here’s an easy recipe you can follow.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon oil 1 tablespoon channa dal 1 tablespoon urad dal 1 tablespoon dhaniya 1 teaspoon jeera 1 teaspoon black pepper 5 dry red chillies 1 cup curry leaves 1 tamarind Salt to taste

Step 1

To make the podi, add in oil and roast curry leaves on slow flame till aromatic.

Step 2

Add the rest of the ingredients and cook till curry leaves are a little crispy.

Step 3

Grind the mixture into a fine powder.

Step 4

Store it in an airtight container and use it whenever required.
