Cucumber Kanji Recipe For Hydration And Refreshment

Cucumber is hydrating, refreshing, and rich in fibre. It is good for your body and helps to regulate the bowel system. Before Holi, try making kanji using cucumbers. This short guide will help you craft the beverage.

Ingredients

2 tbsp mustard powder 2 medium cucumbers 1-2 tsp black salt 1-2 tsp red chilli powder Water as needed

Step 1

Wash cucumbers and cut them into long sticks with their skin intact.

Step 2

Use a ceramic jar to combine red chilli powder, mustard powder, and black salt.

Step 3

Add some water to the jar to create a concoction and immerse cucumber sticks.

Step 4

Cover the jar with a muslin cloth and close it.

Step 5

Keep the jar under the sun for 2-4 days for the kanji to ferment.

Step 6

Enjoy cucumber kanji first thing in the morning.
