Murukku is a traditional South Indian snack, which is usually made with rice flour. To make it healthier, you can use millet flour. Follow this recipe and whip up a crispy batch of ragi murukku.
1 cup ragi flour 1/4 cup water 1 tablespoon oil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon hing
Knead the dough by mixing ragi flour, salt, cumin seeds, hing, and water.
Once smooth, let the dough rest for at least 30 minutes.
Heat some oil. Take small portions of the dough and roll them into thin, long ropes.
Press the ropes into a murukku press and deep-fry them till crispy.
Drain extra oil, let them cool, and enjoy.
