Lightly roasted makhana tossed with chutneys, spices, and fresh veggies creates a crunchy chaat that feels fresh, tangy, and addictive - perfect when you want something quick but not too heavy.
2 cups makhana (fox nuts) 1 tbsp ghee ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper 1 chopped onion 1 chopped tomato 1 chopped cucumber 1 tbsp green chutney 1 tbsp tamarind chutney ½ tsp chaat masala ½ tsp lemon juice
Heat ghee in a pan and roast makhana on a low flame till crisp.
Add salt and pepper, mix well, and let them cool slightly.
Transfer to a bowl and add onion, tomato, and cucumber.
Add green chutney, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, and lemon juice.
Toss quickly and serve immediately before makhana loses crunch.
