The rainy days are incomplete without a platter of pakoras and a hot cup of chai. Moving beyond onion bhajiya and paneer pakoras, try this cabbage pakoda recipe and make the most of the weather.
½ cup cabbage ¼ cup onion 1 green chilli 1 tablespoon coriander leaves ½ teaspoon grated ginger ½ cup besan ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon cumin powder Pinch of hing Salt to taste Oil for frying
Mix the chopped cabbage, onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, and ginger. Add salt and mix.
Remove any moisture released by cabbage.
Take another bowl and mix besan, haldi, red chilli powder, cumin powder, hing, and salt.
Gently mix in water to make a smooth batter. Fold in the cabbage mixture.
Deep-fry or air-fry till crunchy. Serve the pakodas with chutney.
