Looking for another option for a fasting meal other than sabudana khichdi? Try this crispy sabudana dosa, which is light, filling and made with vrat-friendly ingredients, making it a delectable lunch or dinner option for fasting days.
1 cup sabudana (soaked overnight) ½ cup samak rice (barnyard millet), soaked overnight 1 medium boiled potato, mashed 1 green chilli, finely chopped 1-inch ginger, grated 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon sendha namak (rock salt) 2 tablespoons ghee (for cooking) Water, as needed
Thoroughly wash and soak sabudana and samak rice overnight. Blend them into a lump-free batter, then add boiled potato, ginger, and green chilli.
To the batter, now add sendha namak, cumin seeds and chopped coriander, then mix everything well.
Heat and lightly grease the dosa tawa and pour one ladle of batter on it. Spread it evenly in circular motions to make a thin dosa.
Drizzle a little ghee around the edges and cook on medium flame until you see the base turns golden and crisp.
Fold the dosa and serve with vrat coconut chutney or curd for a wholesome fasting meal.
