Paneer bread pakora is an all-time favourite comfort snack, which is crisp on the outside, soft and full of flavour on the inside. Ideal for chilly evenings or when you have cravings for something crispy. It is quick and immensely satisfying, just like any favourite street-side.

Ingredients

150 g, crumbled Paneer 1 finely chopped Green chilli ½ tsp Red chilli powder ¼ tsp Garam masala ¼ tsp Turmeric Salt to taste 1 tbsp chopped Coriander 1 cup Besan ¼ tsp Turmeric ½ tsp Red chilli powder ¼ tsp ajwain Salt to taste Water as required Bread slices Oil for deep frying

Step 1

Mix the crumbled paneer with chilli, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, and salt. Blend until the mixture turns soft and spicy.

Step 2

Mix the besan, chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain, and salt, and gradually add water to make a smooth, medium-thick, lump-free batter.

Step 3

Cut the bread slices into triangles. Apply a generous amount of paneer filling between two slices and gently seal it.

Step 4

In a deep pan, warm oil on a medium flame. Make sure it is medium hot so the pakoras can be cooked evenly without burning or turning too oily.

Step 5

Dip the stuffed bread triangles into the besan batter, assuring every side is coated evenly for a crispy, golden surface.

Step 6

Slide the coated pieces in oil. Fry until it turns puffed and deep golden. Serve hot with chutney.
