All you need on a rainy day is a crispy snack to have with chai. And methi na gota makes an impeccable addition to your tea-time spread. Follow this Gujarati recipe to make the fritters at home.
1 cup besan 1/2 cup chopped methi leaves 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon garam masala 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Salt to taste Water as needed Oil for frying
Mix besan, turmeric, red chilli, cumin powder, garam masala, baking soda, and salt.
Add in chopped methi leaves. Gradually add water to make a smooth batter.
Heat some oil in a kadhai. Take small portions of the batter and deep fry till crispy.
Drain the fritters on tissue paper and serve hot with imli or green chutney.
