Lotus stem chips are thinly sliced and fried until crisp, then seasoned with spices for a light and crunchy snack. This recipe is a unique twist on everyday chips, offering a different taste with a satisfying bite.
200 g lotus stem (cleaned and thinly sliced) ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste Oil for deep frying
Wash and clean the lotus stem thoroughly, then cut into thin round slices. Pat dry thoroughly.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the slices on medium flame until crisp and golden.
Remove on absorbent paper and sprinkle turmeric, red chilli powder, chaat masala, and salt while still hot.
Serve warm as a crunchy tea-time snack.
