Turn your tea time into a feast with this crispy chicken pakora recipe. Soft, juicy chicken pieces covered in spiced besan batter are deep-fried till perfection, delivering a satisfying crunch in every bite. Perfect for parties or a quick snack craving.
250g boneless chicken 1 cup besan 1 tbsp rice flour 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp turmeric 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste Water as needed Oil for frying Chopped coriander
Marinate the chicken pieces by blending ginger-garlic paste, salt, and chilli powder. Cover the chicken pieces thoroughly and let them sit for about 15 minutes.
Prepare the batter by mixing besan, rice flour, turmeric, cumin, and water. The consistency of the batter should be thick and smooth.
Now, add the marinated chicken to the batter. Coat every piece to ensure even frying.
Take a deep pan and heat oil on medium flame until it turns a little smoky.
Once the oil has heated up, drop chicken pieces gently and fry in small batches until they turn golden brown and crisp.
Place the fried chicken pakoras on paper towels to remove extra oil.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
