Chicken nuggets are golden and crunchy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. Prepared with chicken pieces and basic spices, these nuggets are perfect for snacking while binge-watching your favourite show.
300 g boneless chicken (minced) ½ cup breadcrumbs ¼ cup grated cheese (optional) 1 egg 2 tbsp cornflour 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste ½ tsp black pepper powder ½ tsp paprika or red chilli powder ¾ tsp salt 1 cup breadcrumbs (for coating) Oil for frying
In a mixing bowl, add minced chicken, egg, ginger-garlic paste, salt, pepper, paprika, cornflour and breadcrumbs. Mix everything well.
Add grated cheese to this, if using and keep the mixture resting for about 5 minutes.
Grease your palms with oil and shape small bite-sized nuggets. Keep the shape uniform, so they can be cooked evenly and remain soft within.
Roll each nugget in dry breadcrumbs and press gently, so that the coating sticks well and gives it a crunchy outer layer after it is fried.
In a pan, heat oil on a medium flame and fry the nuggets in batches until they turn golden brown and crisp on all sides.
Remove on tissue paper to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard dip or mayo.
