Crispy Chicken Cutlets Made Simple: Perfect Recipe For House Parties

Chicken cutlet is a popular Indian snack made with spiced shredded chicken and mashed potatoes, shaped into patties, coated in breadcrumbs, and fried until golden and crisp. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, it’s a perfect teatime treat or party starter.

Ingredients

250 g boiled and shredded boneless chicken 2 boiled and mashed potatoes 1 finely chopped onion 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 2 chopped green chillies 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp black pepper Salt to taste 1 beaten egg 1 cup breadcrumbs 2 tbsp oil (for sautéing) Oil as needed for frying

Step 1

Cook chicken until tender, and shred finely.

Step 2

Sauté onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste in oil, then add shredded chicken, mashed potatoes, salt, pepper, garam masala and mix it well.

Step 3

Cool mixture, add coriander leaves, and shape into cutlets.

Step 4

Dip each cutlet in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

Step 5

Shallow or deep fry until golden brown and crisp.
